Pair of Gardner Engines
Serial Numbers: Starboard #109283 Port #116192
Ordered by John Manley Shipyard in 1958, the engines shipped across the Atlantic and found their first home in the Tugboat "Melinda Jane" working the freshwater lakes of British Columbia. in 1979 the vessel was moved to the salt water Pacific west coast, undergoing a name change to 'Storm Spray'. She then was renamed "Island Chief' under the ownership of Island Tug and Barge. Marine Link Transportation purchased her in 2014 and sadly, due to our nature of remote coastal industrial freight transportation demanding higher horsepower, we had to replace the Gardners.
Since being refurbished and pulled out of the vessel they have lived in a heated watertight shipping container. We also have twin disc gear boxes (MG6514C), 2 spare engine blocks, a spare crank shaft, and multiple totes of miscellaneous additional replacement parts.
We are willing to negotiate on price and are prepared to ship anywhere in the world. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us by email and we can continue the conversation.
